John E Evans JP CFIOSH CSHP
Groveham Safety Services was set up in January 2004. The Principal Health & Safety Consultant is John E Evans, who has been involved in health and safety for over 28 years, having first been appointed as a Health & Safety Advisor for the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company in Liverpool back in November 1978.
John has also worked for Liverpool City Council as a Health & Safety Enforcement Officer in the Environmental Health Department, and later as the Health & Safety Adviser for the Estates & Property Services Department of the Council. He was eventually appointed as the first ever ‘Corporate Health & Safety Manager’ for the City Council.
John is a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and holds the Institutions’ ‘President’s Distinguished Service Award’ for his services to the Institution.
